The Unarmed Skill is utilized by anyone from bar-room brawlers to certain reclusive sects of dedicated warriors to even farmers. It can range from being one of the most delicate forms of martial combat to one of the most indelicate, and anywhere in-between. Although it is a difficult and arduous path, it is undeniably rewarding.
Unarmed, due to the lack of upgradeable materials and the like, begins with 6 damage per strike. The speed of unarmed attacks is automatically increased by 1.0 at levels 50 and 80, resulting a total of three possible unarmed attacks per turn.

{Level 25 Perk Descriptions}
Firm Fist - Requires Bloody Knuckles; Firm Fist begins the character down the path of a brawler, allowing him to utilize various small, sturdy, cylindrical objects as a reinforcing object for their fist. If a character so chooses to grip an item of this sort in each fist, they gain an additional 2 damage which is affected by Bloody Knuckles. (Attack descriptions MUST factor in the fact that the character is gripping these items in any fists they attack with).
Open Hand - Requires Bloody Knuckles; Open Hand begins the character down the path of a martial artist, increasing unarmed damage by
2 when they are not wearing any hand armor whatsoever and they are not wielding any weapons whatsoever. This increase to damage is affected by the Bloody Knuckles perk. (Attack descriptions MUST factor in open-handed strikes to benefit from this).

{Level 50 Perk Descriptions}
Brawler's Strength - Requires Firm Fist; Brawler's Strength is a Two-Ranked series of perks, available at levels 25 and 50. Each rank of this perk gives the combatant a cumulative 10% chance to knock a target prone while the combatant benefits from the Firm Fist perk.
Inventive Brutality - Requires Firm Fist; Inventive Brutality allows the wielder to craft and use unique "knuckleguard" weapons from metals and use them as part of the Unarmed skill. The additional damage gained from these knuckleguards is not affected by the Bloody Knuckles perk, but the knuckleguards automatically count as a tool for the Firm Fist perk, allowing the wielder to benefit from both the knuckleguards and Firm Fist simultaneously. The wielder cannot use the knuckleguards without benefiting from Firm Fist. A combatant may only use knuckleguards he has crafted for himself, and no others. These knuckleguards cannot be found as loot, typically. One can refit a pair of knuckleguards to fit themselves, if they are skilled in working with the correct materials. (You must possess the relevant smithing perks to be able to craft or refit knuckleguards.)
Forceful Palm - Requires Open Hand; Forceful Palm grants the ability Forceful Strike, allowing the user to expend STAMINA to push their enemy backward. The combatant can expend any amount of STAMINA they have available to them at that time. The distance the target is pushed if the attack is successful is equal to 1/10th of the expended STAMINA. Thus, expending 100 STAMINA pushes the target backwards 10 feet. Expending 500 STAMINA pushes the enemy back 50 feet. In order to use the Forceful Strike ability, the user must be currently benefiting from the effects of Open Hand. To use this ability counts as 1 of their attacks for that turn.
Slashing Edge - Requires Open Hand; Slashing Edge is a Three-Ranked series of perks, available at levels 50, 60, and 70. Slashing Edge increases the damage dealt with open handed strikes by +2 at both ranks 1 and 2, and +3 at rank 3. This damage is affected by Bloody Knuckles, but is only applied while the combatant benefits from the Open Hand perk. This means that at rank 3, this perk will grant a total of +7 to unarmed damage while benefiting from Open Hand.
Piercing Strike - Requires Open Hand; Piercing Strike allows the combatant to ignore 10% of the target's armor rating when utilizing an open handed strike.

Unarmed Endurance - Requires Brawler's Strength; Unarmed Endurance grants the user the ability Unarmed Endurance, allowing them to refill 25% of their maximum HEALTH and 50% of their maximum STAMINA immediately.
Alcoholic Artisan - Requires Inventive Brutality; Alcoholic Artisan allows the user to become harder to hit when inebriated, granting them an effective +75 armor bonus whilst inebriated by means of alcohol, moon sugar, skooma, Sleeping Tree Sap, or other such substances. Whilst inebriated, the character also has a 5% chance of an "accidental dodge", resulting in their falling prone to the ground but dodging a blow. As well, whilst inebriated the character has a 2% chance each turn of suddenly suffering severe illness, resulting in them collapsing to the ground and being unable to arise for 3 turns as they vomit profusely on the floor. If this occurs, the character no longer gains the benefits of Alcoholic Artisan until they become drunk once more.
Open-Hand Defense - Requires Forceful Palm; Open-Hand Defense allows the user the ability to block with their hands as though they possessed a shield, thus permitting the blocking of weapons. This passive ability does not utilize the Unarmed skill, but rather draws from the Block skill. However, it cannot be used while wielding a shield and cannot benefit from any shield-specific perks.
Gashing Hand - Requires Slashing Edge or Knifepoint Knuckles; Gashing Hand adds the passive ability Gashing Hand to the combatant. Gashing Hand causes any target struck by the combatant's open handed attack to suffer a cumulative 5 bleeding damage per turn. This bleeding damage manifests itself in the form of exhaustion due to lack of blood, thus causing STAMINA damage instead of HEALTH.

Masterful Defense - Requires Alcoholic Artisan or Open-Hand Defense; Masterful Defense immediately and indefinitely grants the combatant +200 armor while wearing no armor, +100 armor while wearing Light Armor, or +50 armor while wearing Heavy Armor.
