Stros M'kai is a small island, home to the Jarren Root which was part of a plot by the Dark Brotherhood to kill an Emperor. Stros M'kai itself would be an unassuming little port, famous only for its Dwemer ruins, were it not for its presently strategic location near the Cape of the Blue Divide, the waters around the Summerset Isles. Tensions are high there, but even higher is the number of Alik'r Republic soldiers stationed within it's walls and forts. Rumor has it that the Redguards have, with the assistance of the Nords and Bretons, discovered a means of controlling Dwemer constructs. There have been no Aldmeri Dominion soldiers escaping the island of Stros M'kai to confirm these tales.
